Simone Roveda – June 8, 1988

Hi! I’m Simone and I’m a wine lover based in Novara, Italy.

I graduated in Engineering of Computing Systems at Politecnico Milano.

Curiosity, dynamism and determination are key characteristics that identify me. I started growing my passion for wine by travelling and visiting wineries. When I visit a new place, I try its typical food and wine. That combo is culture!

On the 28th of January 2016, I founded WineryLovers.

The goal was to create a community of wine users in which everyone will contribute to making it even great by suggesting the best wines, pairings and wineries! Wine is a wonderful and huge world in which you never stop learning.

I’ve always wanted to get new information about wine to give more precise suggestions to help wine lovers as nobody else can do. Wine knowledge is the basis for those who want to make it a profession. You have several responsibilities towards people that support you every day and companies that decide to invest in you. On my path, I obtained WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines at the WSET School London.

Considered one of the pioneers for wine digital communication in Italy, today I help the wineries to improve their businesses. Content creation, strategy management, and editorial plan editing are just some of my activities as a digital consultant.

In addition, I’m a contributor to some wine magazines, but also for #nofilter (Positive Press, 2018). Then, I’m a speaker at both industry and non-industry events, such as Wine Future (2023, Coimbra), GTO Conference (2023, Rome), Wine in Venice (2023, Venice), Festival dell’Economia (2022, Trento), Festival della TV (2019, Dogliani), wine2wine (2018 and 2017, Verona). In the end, a judge in wine competitions and a wine educator.
